Lemon is an open-pollinated variety of summer squash that produces small, glossy-skinned fruit that are just like a lemon in terms of size and appearance. One of our favorite trial varieties in 2023, we were especially impressed with the productivity of this variety. Healthy, vigorous plants produced heavily and ceaselessly for months. Our children loved picking the cute little squash and we loved eating them! The squash have extremely tender, thin skins and smooth, finely grained interiors. They are perfect for frying, sauteing and roasting, and with each plant bearing so many squash, you'll be inventing new ways to use them! Harvests begin approximately 55 days after sowing.
