Lemongrass cymbopogon citratus Description: The Spark Naturals Lemongrass oil is often referred to as the West Indies Lemongrass. It is hydro-diffused, has a sweet lemony smell tha t is a dark yellow to amber in color and has a water type viscosity. Unlike the East Indian Lemongrass it contains myrcene and has slightly less citral. Properties: Analgesic, Anti-Depressant, Anti-Microbial, Antiseptic, Astringent, Bactericidal, Carminative, Deodorant, Diuretic, Fungicidal and Insecticidal Possible Uses: Use in diffuser or aromatherapy as an insect repellant or to energize as well as relieve fatigue or lethargic feelings. Use topically to help clear cellulite, as well as opening blocked pores or treat acne. Dilute in water to help with colitis, indigestion and gastroenteritis.
