The Leo Triplet is composed of three galaxies, M65, M66, and NGC 3628. Galaxies are much farther away than individual visible stars, and these three galaxies are about 35 million l ight years distant. NGC 3628 (southeast in the photo) is also known as the "Hamburger Galaxy." Show more
