Ideal Environment & Tank Size To keep your Julii Corys happy, a minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended. Because they are highly social, they should be kept in groups of 6 or more. Substrate: This is crucial! Use fine sand or very smooth, rounded gravel. Coarse or sharp substrates can damage their sensitive barbels (whiskers), leading to infections. Decor: Provide plenty of hiding spots using driftwood, smooth rocks, and hardy live plants like Anubias or Java Fern. Water Parameters: * Temperature: 72°F to 79°F pH: 6.5 – 7.5 Hardness: 2–12 dGH Feeding & Diet Julii Corys are omnivorous scavengers. While they will spend their day cleaning up leftover morsels from the substrate, they should not be expected to live on "trash" alone. Primary Diet: High-quality sinking pellets or wafers.
