All leopard hunting in Namibia is highly regulated and permits must be obtained through the Namibian Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism. As a conservation effort, hunting female leopards is prohibited, all hunted leopards are older males that have passed their reproductive peak. It is illegal to bring back meat to the U.S. so any meat is required to be donated to local communities and extra is used as feed for other predators.
