Lepidolite is a lithium-rich form of mica. It is abundant in minerals for lithium. Mica has a monoclinic crystal system and peels into sheets, which are its characteristic crystals . The purplish color is not due to the lithium, but rather to trace amounts of manganese. These pieces are polished into a small worry stone shape.
