Inspiration: Whenever we're in France, it seems like there's a lot to do, but it honestly feels like that everywhere, doesn't it? We need to make breakfast, and get the kids off to school, or clean the house and blow the driveway. We need to see this place or this place before it closes and we need to daydream first thing in the morning or at the end of the day because there's not enough time in the middle! But sometimes, all I really want to do is lie in bed with Bastien, and just be there in the stillness and the quiet and the sweetness before I start thinking about stupid things like what the living room needs, or what color we should paint the house, or if that third grade testing is as bad as everyone says it is. Sometimes, before the rush of it all throws down the doors, I want a moment more of the things life is really made of. I want to hold onto the people that really matter. "Let's Stay Here, Like This," is an invitation to notice and stay in those moments that you know will matter most a week, or a few years, or 20 years from now. Details: This is a 36x48" mixed media painting of acrylic, oil, oil stick, and pencil on 1.5" gallery wrapped, cotton canvas. All of the edges have been painted a neutral color, and the piece has two layers of Gamvar varnish, protecting it from UV light, dust, and every day life. For ongoing care, the painting may be cleaned with a damp cloth and gentle soap as needed. Shipping: I currently ship standard to the continental US only.
