This online course focuses on informed conversations about anti-Black racism and equips employees and managers with the knowledge and actions needed to fight racial injustice. The death of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man killed by a police officer in Minneapolis, sparked global outrage, bringing anti-Black racism to the forefront of worldwide conversations. The protests that followed, including those in Canada, renewed attention on systemic racism within policing and other institutions. This course encourages disruption of systemic racism by listening, learning, and taking action. It’s the first step in fighting against racism in Canada. Start by talking with a friend, colleague, or family member, and initiate conversations within your organization about systemic racism and how we can collectively work towards ending it.
