The Rainbow Phonics Letter Sounds pack contains 151 cards for teaching the various spelling-to-sound patterns of the English language. Each card is leveled and follows the progress ion in accordance with Rainbow Phonics program, with color-coded borders according to the Phases of Rainbow Phonics. Mnemonics are used to help children memorize the grapheme-to-phoneme relationship. Early cards also include handwriting formations printed on the reverse to help children learn the letter formation as they memorize the letter sound, and cards for teaching the formation of capital letters. At the higher levels, phoneme speech bubbles are used for scaffolding so that children can group alternative spelling patterns into sound families. These cards are also integrated into the lessons for the Teacher Planners at the different grade levels.
