Lettlopi wool yarn (spelled as Léttlopi in Icelandic) is approximately half the thickness of heavyweight alafoss lopi. It is worsted medium weight yarn, so we recommend knitting with 4.5mm or 5.5mm needles. Like all Icelandic yarn, this virgin wool is sheared from a pure breed of sheep that roam freely in the Icelandic highlands and have been kept separate for hundreds of centuries. The inner fiber is fine, soft, and warm while the outer fiber of the wool is longer and naturally water-repellent. The virgin wool is 100% pure, and it has not been blended with any other fibers.
