Matcha & Clay is a collaborative two-day ceramic workshop centred around the ritual, craft and calm of matcha happening Saturday and Sunday 19-20 September from 10-4pm. Led by Throwing Shapes throwing instructor Vinh, who also produces his own line of handcrafted matcha bowls, this immersive weekend guides participants through the process of creating a functional ceramic matcha set from start to finish. Over two days, you’ll design and throw your own matcha bowl, 2 tumblers and 2 biscuit plates, learning how form, balance, and surface treatment relate specifically to the matcha-making experience. The workshop is in collaboration with Irish matcha brand OMMA, bringing together pottery, ritual, and slow living with a workshop from OMMA on how to create the perfect matcha on day two.
