The "Leading in Literacy" program developed by We, Future Leaders includes a range of engaging and effective literacy resources designed for both early readers and for reading intervention. This resource is best suited for 1:1 or small-group instruction. Our Level 1 “Leading in Literacy” strips introduce and consolidate: The first eight letters of the initial code (s, a, t, p, i, m, f, r). VC, VCC, and CVC words that correspond with this code. A small number of "heart words": I, my, and, the, is. All the above are available in both lower and upper case, with a total of 56 flash cards in each font! The initial code used in the "Leading in Literacy" program aligns with recent Australian research for best-practice reading instruction. These sentence strips are simple in design to prevent cognitive overload, and have been provided in multiple font options, including Australian school fonts: NSW, QLD, VIC, SA, and a dyslexia friendly font.
