(3 hr course) This course will teach you the following skills to help you progress toward becoming an independent snowkiter. This class is designed to teach you how to safely rig and fly a full sized inflatable kite. It may be possible to ride a board or skiis but not guaranteed in this lesson. This class can take place any day at any time based on weather conditions and availability. Curriculum: Reading weather conditions and choosing a safe location Safety systems, rigging a 4 line inflatable kites Kite theory and reviewing of the wind window Flying a de-powerable inflatable kite with a harness Activating the safety quick release Conducting a self-rescue Flying the kite in all clock positions One-hand kite control Launching and landing Possibly riding on the board or skiis with the kite depending on your progress **NYKC Conducts Kiteboarding Lessons Rain or Shine! All Level 1 lessons are a maximum of 2 students to 1 instructor, and one kite. You must provide your own skiis or snowboard and a helmet is mandatory**
