Shake the bottle well before use. Apply a small, even amount (3-4 pea-sized drops) of Level Cutting Compound directly onto a foam or microfiber cutting pad. Using a dual-action (DA) or rotary machine polisher, spread the product over a 2'x2' section of paint at a low speed. Increase speed to moderate (typically 4-5 on a DA polisher) and apply moderate pressure. Work in overlapping passes until defects are corrected. Level may only require 2-3 passes; avoid overworking the product. If more aggressive cut is needed, simply add more product to the pad to increase the abrasive load.
