Levy & McClellan Red 2004 is an opulent Napa Valley proprietary red blend by winemaking power couple Bob Levy and Martha McClellan, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot from their Calistoga estate vineyard. Critic tasting note: (2004 vintage) "Clearly this has depth and concentration, along with ripe, fruit and round tannins, but it was hard to move past that point, due to the excessive amount of oak that was coming through. The finish is among the longest of any 2004 I tasted, and gorgeous levels of fruit and extract hide any notions of new oak.
