A US first edition, first impression. Wrapper : The period wrapper on this copy is bright, complete and in very good shape. It is unclipped - showing the price $2.50 on the inside flap. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing rubbing and a couple of small closed tears to the top edge. The leading edge corners are gently scuffed. The spine is bright and clean - it is gently rubbed and nicked at the ends. The red lettering on the spine has lost a little of its lustre. The back panel is fresh, showing gentle wear to the edges and rubbing to the leading edge. Book : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean - there is a tiny touch of fading to the edges of the boards. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are very clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are bright.
