Liberté is an original contemporary figurative painting from my Modern Muse series. I created this work around the idea of freedom — not only the freedom to go wherever we want, but the freedom to become who we choose to be. My muse stands with confidence against an intense orange background, a colour that has become deeply connected to my work. For me, orange represents energy, courage, optimism and the desire to live boldly. Inspired by my travels through the French Riviera, Monaco and the Mediterranean, Liberté brings together femininity, elegance and strength. I wanted her to feel glamorous, but never fragile — a modern woman carrying her own sense of independence. For me, this painting is a reminder that freedom can be quiet. Sometimes it is simply the courage to follow your own path.
