This piece is our tribute to discipline, freedom, and the quiet courage it takes to hold a moment of perfect balance. The shape and flow of the figure was a critical part of the de sign process. Our ballerina balances on a single grounded foot while the rest of her body arcs outward in a sweeping, defiant line. We wanted tension and grace to coexist within the openness of her chest and the fearless extension of her limbs. Aluminium carries light differently throughout the day, cool and quiet in the morning, softly radiant by afternoon, and almost silhouette-like at dusk. A perfect choice for our elegant ballerina garden sculpture. You’ll notice we resisted over-detailing. The surface is fairly smooth so the drama of the form speaks first. We wanted the gesture of movement to reach you before anything else. We envision her being placed where she has room to breathe, among garden paths, open lawns, or framed by foliage, to constantly change with her surroundings.
