The only requirement is a pressure of at least 0.2 Bar (2.85 PSI), which is easily achieved by connecting the C1 to an overhead water storage tank or waterbutt (at least 2m above the C1). With this level of pressure, all the user needs to do is turn the tap to release a strong flow of safe drinking water, making off the grid homes truly self-sufficient. Requires very little maintenance - simply clean the filter cartridge once a year Depending on the source and quality of your water, you may want to add pre-filters to your system; a sediment filter will remove sand, silt and organic matter (extending the life of your C1), and an activated carbon filter will improve the taste and smell of your water.
