Latex-free with an ISO-compliant connector and a durable hook-and-loop closure. Restore your monitor to normal operation without replacing the whole unit. Genuine A&D Part UA-282A 2-Year Cuff Warranty Latex-Free ISO Cuff Connector Hook-and-Loop Closure HSA / FSA Eligible Fits upper arm circumference 16.5″ – 23.6″ 42 – 60 cm Part number UA-282A — Extra Large This cuff fits one monitor only The UA-282A is engineered for the A&D LifeSource UA-789AC Premium Blood Pressure Monitor. It is not a universal cuff and will not work correctly with other A&D monitors, or with Omron, Welch Allyn, or any other brand. Check the model number on the underside of your monitor before ordering. Measure Before You Order Cuff size is determined by upper arm circumference — not by weight, shirt size, or how the old cuff felt. The extra large cuff starts at 16.5″, so confirm your measurement lands in range before buying. Let your arm hang relaxed at your side. Do not flex or tense the muscle. Find the midpoint between the top of your shoulder and your elbow. Wrap a flexible cloth tape measure around the bare upper arm at that point — snug, not tight. Read the measurement in inches or centimeters and compare it to the size table below. Why the right size changes your reading A cuff that is too large produces a reading lower than your true blood pressure. A cuff that is too small produces a reading higher than your true blood pressure. On a monitor used to track a real condition, either error matters. All Three Cuff Sizes for the UA-789AC The UA-789AC accepts three cuff sizes. If your measurement falls below 16.5″, one of the other two is the correct part. Replacement cuffs for the A&D LifeSource UA-789AC Part Size Arm circumference Metric UA-280A Medium 9.4″ – 14.2″ 24 – 36 cm UA-281A Large 14.2″ – 17.7″ 36 – 45 cm UA-282A this product Extra Large — this product 16.5″ – 23.6″ 42 – 60 cm Between 16.5″ and 17.7″? The Large (UA-281A) and Extra Large (UA-282A) overlap in that band. Choose the Extra Large if your arm is conical or muscular, or if the Large has been leaving marks or slipping at full inflation. Choose the Large if the Extra Large would leave excessive overlap. Need a different size for the same monitor? Call 1-800-403-8285 or email [email protected] and we will confirm the correct part number for your monitor. Monitors this cuff does not fit The UA-282A is not compatible with the UA-611, UA-651, UA-651BLE, UA-651SAC, UA-660, UA-767F, UA-767FAC, UA-770BLE, UA-810BLE, UA-910BLE, UA-1020CEL, UA-1030T, or UA-1040TBLE. Those monitors use the SlimFit cuff family (UA-289A, UA-290A, UA-291A). It also does not fit the UA-705V or UA-705VL manual inflate monitors, which use the UA-280A and UA-281A. When to Replace the Cuff Blood pressure cuffs wear out well before the monitor's electronics do. The bladder loses its seal, the fabric frays where it passes through the D-ring, or the hose develops a slow leak. The monitor is still fine — it simply cannot hold pressure, which shows up as error codes, repeated inflation cycles, or readings that drift between back-to-back measurements. Extra large cuffs work harder than smaller ones. They hold more air, stretch further, and take more strain at the closure, so they tend to need replacing sooner. Signs the cuff is the problem The monitor inflates then deflates immediately without producing a reading Error codes relating to inflation, air leak, or cuff fit Visible cracking, stiffening, or splitting in the bladder or hose The hook-and-loop closure no longer grips and the cuff creeps during inflation Two readings taken a minute apart on the same arm differ widely What is in the box One UA-282A extra large cuff with integrated air hose and ISO-compliant connector. It plugs straight into your UA-789AC — no tools, no adapter. Fitting your new cuff Power the monitor off and unplug the AC adapter if one is connected. Pull the old cuff's connector straight out of the air socket. It does not twist. Push the new connector firmly in until it seats fully. A partially seated connector is the most common cause of an inflation error after a cuff swap. Slide your arm through the cuff loop with the hose running down the inside of your arm toward your palm. Set the bottom edge of the cuff roughly one inch above the bend of your elbow and fasten it snugly — two fingers should slide underneath. Sit with your back supported, feet flat on the floor, and your arm resting so the cuff sits level with your heart. Take the reading. Quick Reference Key Features Genuine A&D Medical OEM part, not a generic substitute Fits arms 16.5″ to 23.6″ (42 to 60 cm) Latex-free construction ISO-compliant cuff connector Durable hook-and-loop fastener Direct plug-in — no adapter required Warranty & Support A&D Medical covers this cuff with a 2-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear and tear is not covered. Keep your receipt for documentation. For reference, A&D warrants the UA-789AC monitor itself for 5 years and its cuff for 2 years. Not sure this is the right part? Call 1-800-403-8285 with your monitor's model number and we will confirm before you order. For Accurate Readings Rest quietly for five minutes before measuring Sit with your back supported and both feet flat on the floor Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is level with your heart Apply the cuff to a bare arm, not over a sleeve Do not talk or move during the measurement Avoid caffeine, exercise, and tobacco for 30 minutes beforehand Take two or three readings a minute apart and record the average Care & Cleaning Wipe the outer surface with a cloth dampened with mild soap and water Do not machine wash, submerge, or iron Do not use bleach, alcohol, or solvent-based cleaners on the bladder Air dry completely before storing Store loosely coiled — sharp folds in the hose shorten cuff life Important Notice This cuff is an accessory for home blood pressure monitoring. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. Do not adjust any medication based on home readings without speaking to your healthcare provider. Bring your monitor and cuff to an appointment once a year so your provider can check it against their equipment. Specifications A&D UA-282A extra large replacement cuff specifications Specification Detail Brand A&D Medical (LifeSource) Part number UA-282A Product type Extra large replacement upper-arm blood pressure cuff Arm circumference 16.5″ – 23.6″ (42 – 60 cm) Compatible monitor A&D LifeSource UA-789AC only Latex Not made with natural rubber latex Connector ISO-compliant cuff connector Closure Hook-and-loop fastener Packaged dimensions 9.13″ H × 4.82″ W × 1.5″ D Warranty 2 years, A&D Medical Included One extra large cuff with integrated hose and connector Frequently Asked Questions Which monitors does the UA-282A fit? The A&D LifeSource UA-789AC Premium Blood Pressure Monitor, and only that model. It is not a universal cuff. Check the model number printed on the underside of your monitor before ordering. Will this fit my UA-767F, UA-651, or UA-1030T? No. Those monitors use the SlimFit cuff family — UA-289A (Small), UA-290A (Medium), and UA-291A (Large). The UA-282A will not work with them. How do I know if I need the extra large size? Measure the circumference of your bare upper arm at the midpoint between shoulder and elbow, with your arm relaxed at your side. The Extra Large covers 16.5″ to 23.6″. Below 16.5″, you need the Large (UA-281A) at 14.2″ to 17.7″ or the Medium (UA-280A) at 9.4″ to 14.2″. What happens if I use the wrong size cuff? Your readings will be inaccurate. A cuff that is too large reads lower than your true blood pressure, and one that is too small reads higher. Either error can lead to the wrong conclusion about your health. What is the warranty on this cuff? A&D Medical provides a 2-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear and tear is not covered. Keep your receipt. Is this a genuine A&D part? Yes. This is the genuine A&D Medical UA-282A cuff with the ISO-compliant connector, carrying the manufacturer's warranty. Third-party cuffs may connect physically but are not validated with A&D monitors, and an unvalidated cuff can affect measurement accuracy. Can I wash the cuff? Wipe the outer surface with a cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Do not machine wash, submerge, iron, or use bleach or solvent-based cleaners. Let it air dry fully before storing. Is this eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement? Replacement blood pressure cuffs are typically eligible as a qualified medical expense. Keep your receipt for documentation and check with your plan administrator if you are unsure. Specifications, compatibility, and warranty terms confirmed against A&D Medical published product data and the UA-789AC owner's manual.
