Lilac Dust is much softer than some of the other images in Mineral Bloom, and that's what I love about it. The first thing that caught me was the lilac and dusty pink spreading through the centre, surrounded by warm gold, ochre and those unexpected little touches of green. The colours seem to merge into one another rather than having any definite beginning or end. From above, all sense of scale disappears. What is actually a landscape starts to look like pigment scattered across a canvas. Then there are all those tiny details—the fine lines, speckles, cracks and changes in texture that only really reveal themselves when you spend time looking. Interior Design Suggestions Lilac Dust has a particularly warm and gentle palette. The combination of lilac, dusty pink, ochre, gold and muted green would work beautifully with warm whites, natural timber, stone, linen and other earthy finishes. There's enough colour to give a room personality, but nothing feels overpowering. I could see this working particularly well in a bedroom, living room, entrance or quiet sitting space. It would also be lovely in an interior already using soft mauves, sage greens or warm neutrals. At a larger size, the image becomes much more abstract. From across the room you see the broad areas of colour; closer up, all those wonderful little textures begin to appear.
