Lilt is cut from a Lilt is cut from a heirloom-grade Italian hair-on hide, Italian hair-on hide, so soft you will touch it twice, backed with a mohair velvet with a pile deep enough to run a hand through, and a lustre that lifts as the light moves across it. The hide has been sourced from Pavoni, an Italian house whose reputation rests on the quality of its selection. Hides are chosen one at a time for their suppleness, the fineness of the texture and the evenness of the grain. Pavoni work exclusively with tanneries held to strict environmental standards, and every hide is a by-product of the food industry, fully traceable and processed using low-impact methods. The reverse is a mohair velvet, spun from the fleece of the Angora goat and woven in Britain. Mohair is so plush it is difficult to walk past without reaching out, and resilient enough to hold its pile full and even. Lilt is designed to be paired with Sway, a hand-knotted tassel finished with a brass finial, silver-plated and hand-cast in Indonesia by a small family-run workshop of artisans. It hangs from one corner like a piece of jewellery. Sewn and assembled in Noosa, Queensland, this cushion is proudly Australian Made, hand-finished one cushion at a time by a small team of artisans working to an exacting standard. Lilt is a limited edition of ten, the most this hide will yield.
