The Swell Season - Forward CD Plus a limited edition A6 Lyric book featuring all lyrics to the brand new album as well as images taken during the recording of 'Forward' Release Dat e: 11th July 2025 The Swell Season is back. After reconvening for a limited number of sold-out shows, including Radio City Music Hall in New York, the duo returns with new music. A studio session that started out as an effort to create a couple of new songs for tour, ended up yielding a full-length album, fittingly titled "Forward" their first full length album in 16 years after the huge global success of their Oscar winning turn in the film "Once". Its story and accompanying soundtrack also went on to become an award-winning musical around the world. The album consists of 8 tracks written by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, who take turns singing the lead. Building on the foundation of and with respect to their shared history, they move forward as two equals, supporting and lifting each other up.
