A mid-century abstract built from loosely interlocking blocks of colour and line. The palette sits in a soft, earthy range — greens, browns and chalky off-whites — with darker mark s giving the composition structure and direction. There’s a natural balance to it. The forms sit easily together, with enough variation in the surface to keep it active without becoming busy. A well-resolved piece that works naturally in a range of interiors. The scale makes it easy to place, whether on its own or as part of a wider hang. Oil on canvas by artist Willard Lind (Sweden) and dated 1955. Dimensions: 54x80cm framed.
