2017 brought abundant sunshine and rainbows to this picturesque bio-friendly vineyard high up in the Monferrato hills, daring us to seduce them into this delicious drop of inky goo dness. Hand-picked in mid-October followed by a full 6 weeks of maceration on skins, we settled her to a large-format neutral bote to rest undisturbed for a further 14 months before bottling. A journey that began on a fresh and dewy October morning to preserve that moment of radiant brightness has ended in a wine which offers mountains of fruit intensity and that delightful altitude-forged tautness. 100% Barbera old vines, 14.5% ABV. 98 cases.
