A 2-3lb fruiting block of Hericium erinaceus fungi, also known as Lion's Mane Consists of grain spawn, substrate, and is ready to fruit out of the box! Easy to follow instructions included. After cutting, place in a warm room with ambient, indirect sunlight. Be prepared to wait a 2-4 weeks to harvest after initiating, and enjoy the ride! When the teeth or 'spines' of the mushroom are well pronounced, or when the Lion's Mane begins to brown, it is ready to be removed with a grab-and-twist method. Expect at least 2 flushes of growth, but the moisture and exposure of the substrate will be the determining factor. If you feel your block has dried out after 2 or more flushes, you can submerge it in water (whole, bag on) overnight to rejuvenate water content, then drain the excess water. Be wary of possible contamination from introducing an outside source. Toss after 5 flushes or when you spot the block turning green, whichever comes first!
