Concentrated liquid pigments for tinting polyester resin, gelcoat, epoxy resin and urethane pour foams. Stir in before catalyzing, mix until streak-free, and the color carries through the whole laminate. 14 marine colors, from 1 oz bottles up to gallons. Mix ratio for solid (opaque) color Resin quantity Pigment quantity 1 quart 1 oz (fluid) 1 gallon 4 oz (fluid) That works out to roughly 3% by weight. A light tint takes far less: start with a few drops per quart and build. Keep total pigment under about 5% by weight; the carrier never crosslinks, so overloading can soften the cure. What they work in Polyester resin and gelcoat: stir in before you catalyze, then add MEKP as normal. At the recommended loading there is no change to gel time worth planning around. Epoxy resin: add to the mixed resin and stir until streak-free. Urethane pour foams: works in most systems; test a small batch first. Pigmented laminating resin is not a UV-stable finish on its own. For exterior color that lasts, tint gelcoat and use that as the finish coat. Need see-through color for casting or art resin?
