Liquitex Professional White Gesso is the standard ground for acrylic painting on canvas, board, or panel. It seals the surface, provides tooth for paint adhesion, and dries flexibl e enough to move with canvas without cracking. The white is opaque and bright — subsequent paint layers sit cleanly on it without the substrate colour affecting the mix. Apply in thin coats with a wide brush or palette knife, sanding lightly between layers for a smoother ground. Two or three coats is standard for canvas; wood and board may need more. Can be tinted with acrylic paint before application if you prefer a coloured ground. Available in sizes from 118ml to 3.78L. The larger sizes are considerably better value for anyone priming regularly. Show more
