Wives should be subordinate to their husbands as to the Lord…Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and handed himself over for her to sanctify her.” And the great St. John Paul II said, “Marriage is an act of will that signifies and involves a mutual gift, which unites the spouses and binds them to their eventual souls.” Marriage is a beautiful covenant that unites a man and woman as a gift to one another. A gift to grow together and carry one another through all seasons of life. We wrote this litany together to invite the Holy Spirit to transform both our individual hearts and our marriage. This vocation is hard, sanctifying work. One that we cannot do without the loving guidance from God.
