Course Summary: In this 8 week class, students will learn about the literary elements and how to identify and analyze them in literature. They will then put that knowledge to use as they write an expository essay and a creative narrative essay. Homework load will be about 30 minutes per week for the first 4 weeks and about 60-90 minutes per week for the final four weeks. Students will meet for 1.25 hours each week (one hour one day and a 15 minute one-on-one revision session later in the week) .
