Our little sparrows are made out of fabric scraps from the lovely calico and homespun prints that we use to make our dresses, pinafores and skirts! The sparrows make wonderful pin-cushions, but can also be enjoyed as decor. Each one has is incredibly unique and has its own individual personality, just as we do. Something powerful happens when a person steps aside from the way of the crowd and decides to be an individual for God-- taking refuge in His sanctuary and at His altars, as opposed to seeking shelter in the culture and the world. May these small birds be a physical reminder of that great and precious truth.
