A low footstool on four turned walnut ball feet, upholstered in original needlepoint in a gold and olive diamond lattice pattern with a scalloped braid trim at the base. These were a fixture in French bourgeois interiors, used for warmth as much as comfort, and this one has the worn-in quality that makes it feel genuinely lived in.
