Its medicinal properties pushed it into the spotlight, with the earliest appearance being in the Tang Dynasty (somewhere between 618-907 A.D). Liu An was believed to reduce inflammation, promote digestive and immune system functions. We’re no doctors, so we can’t speak for those exact health benefits.
