Black Walnut is a rare tree that is only grown in a few areas, has a dark rich color with a lot of character and beauty. No two natural edge shelves will look exactly alike. Our shelves come in multiple sizes and includes Easy Mount hardware for a fast and simple installation. This shelf is a perfect bookshelf, floating console table or mantel. **The width will vary from slab to slab based on the contour of the live edge. Process Expertly handcrafted in the heart of the Ozarks, sustainably sourced, premium solid walnut. Nature dictates the design, with every piece revealing its individual character through rich color and engaging grain patterns. Lighter sections as shown in the photos are examples and are natural characteristics of Wood called "Sap", this can be lighter/darker or wider/thinner depending on the wood. Each piece is unique and varies from piece to piece. We don’t stain our pieces, but we do fill knotholes, voids, and cracks with clear epoxy. This technique ensures durability and a smooth finish but allows the wood’s organic beauty to shine. Sizing **The width will vary from slab to slab based on the contour of the live edge. This can be approx. 1-2 inch variation. Each walnut live edge shelf is handcrafted from a unique slab. Choose from 20 Inch up to 72 inch in width and 8 inch up to 12 inch in depth to get the shelf size you need for your home. Each shelf is 1.5-1.75 Inches thick. Don’t see the size you need? Tools needed: Drill or screwdriver, level, stud finder, measuring tape Choose your desired spot to hang shelf Locate studs Put screws in stud Attach floating mount to the wall and slide on the shelf using pre-drilled holes Screws not included. Weight Limit Weight limits are based on a licensed contractor to installing them properly into the wood studs. Drywall will not hold the same weight.
