Live It Strap — Drag Handle The Live It Strap is a drag handle that attaches to any plate carrier and interfaces directly with your belt to drag a casualty off the X as efficiently as possible. The Live It Strap weaves directly through the molle on the back of the plate carrier without interfering with a back panel system. The Live It Strap is mission critical for retrieving an injured operator in lethal environments. The handle is low profile and designed to stow the excess strap discreetly until pulled by the operator. It is then attached to a carabiner at the bottom of the plate carrier that rests parallel on the back. The carabiner will interface with a belt loop woven through the operator’s belt. This prevents the carabiner from digging into the user’s back, eliminating pressure points. Unlike traditional drag handles, once deployed the Live It Strap extends and allows the team member to recover the downed causality from an upright position, not slouched over. The system then pulls through the plate bag and engages the belt loop, pulling the casualty from center mass. This offers a unique ability for the operator to drag the casualty with one hand and maintain security or even provide covering fire with the other. Due to this feature the plate bag does not shift upwards into the throat of the injured team mate, preventing asphyxiation or additional injury. The Live It Strap also offers a quick reset in training environments for casualty rescue drills. After deployment of the reusable system, the expanded strap ‘S’ folds conveniently back into the handle and is made ready for the next drill.
