Zilco Liverpool Driving BitThe liverpool is a very popular bit for carriage driving. It offers several rein positions depending on the severity required. The softest position, called smooth cheek, has a snaffle like action with the curb not really being brought in to play. This setting is reserved for the most sedate driving horses and does not offer a great deal of control. A slightly stronger setting, rough cheek, allows some curb and poll action to be brought in by the liverpool. Following this the slots or bars can be used with the most severe settings furthest down the bar bringing increasing curb and poll pressure. The Zilco Liverpool bit is serated on one side and smooth on the other to give two options of severity.Sizes:4.5" - 2slot cheek ,15mm mouthpiece, 45mm ring size, 140mm cheek length5" - 2 slot cheek, 17mm mouthpiece, 55mm ring size, 205mm cheek length5.5" - 3 slot cheek, 17mm mouthpiece, 55mm ring size, 205mm cheek length
