Overview Inspired from the iconic Pasquini Livia 90, the Livia GP is the true successor to the machine that started the home espresso revolution. The Livia GP takes the design ethos, traditional body style and renowned reliability of the Livia 90, but updated with modernized features. The Livia GP is not just meant for the current espresso enthusiast, it is designed with reliability in mind, so it can become the next generation's first machine too. Key Features Pasquini SpiraFlow Group Design The Pasquini SpiraFlow group design uses a spiral brewing chamber that provides excellent thermal stability and can reach optimal brewing temp in approximately 3 minutes. The SpiraFlow group head does not overheat, eliminating the need for flushing before shots and can provide continuous espresso without temperature loss. TrueTemp PID The Livia GP uses a TrueTemp PID to show the actual incoming water temperature to the group head. This results in near instantaneous heater activation which means that by the time the water makes it to the coffee from the SpiraFlow group head, it is exactly at the programmed temperature. Stainless Steel Boiler Due to the complete isolation of the brew circuit, the 1.5L stainless steel boiler in the Livia GP is fully dedicated to steaming; providing nearly 20% more steam capacity than a similar sized HX boiler and is set to 2 bar to provide dry and powerful steam performance. Quarter-Turn Commercial Steam/Water Valves While most residential turn knobs require multiple full rotations to open, the Livia GP uses commercially rated steam/water valves that go from fully closed to fully open in just a quarter turn. This makes for much better ergonomics and less wear and tear on the valve body itself. Dual Pump System w/ 9 bar OPV Equipped with two vibration pumps on separate circuits, the Livia GP gets the natural pre-infusion and improved extraction over a rotary pump without the downside of boiler fill performance. The OPV (over pressure valve) is factory calibrated at 9 bar and this dual pump system improves reliability and reduces long term repair costs. Barista Lights The Livia GP has two LED lights that illuminate the workspace above the drain tray for easier and better workflow in dimly lit environments. Side-loading Water Tank The Livia GP's side loading water tank keeps countertops in mind, allowing easy fill access even under a low cabinet.
