Salt is in. New research suggests many people, especially athletes and those following paleo, keto, or low-carb diets, are undersalted. As athletes, we may already be aware of the importance of proper hydration, and most of us know that plain H2O alone won’t suffice. Why do we love LMNT? Working out in the heat adds to the need to replace lost electrolytes (especially salts). Several electrolyte products are filling the gap – some quite terrible and loaded with sugar, toxic dyes and other junk you don’t need. Then others don’t have the sugar and other crap BUT they taste downright repulsive. There are a few that do it right. LMNT is at the top of that list. What most of the popular electrolyte drinks on the market do wrong is include too low amounts of electrolytes and miss the mark on the “optimal ratio”. A primary benefit of LMNT is that it gets that ratio right without anything extra. What’s in LMNT? They give you more electrolytes in the ideal ratio: 1000 mg SODIUM 200 mg POTASSIUM 60 mg MAGNESIUM Pioneered by Robb Wolf (biochemist and 2X New York Times/WSJ Best Selling author of The Paleo Solution and Wired To Eat), LMNT has taken the latest science and formulated an electrolyte mix that hits all the right salty notes in what the body needs (and doesn’t need). How to Use LMNT Electrolytes: LMNT electrolyte mixes are easy to use; simply drop a pack of your favorite flavor into your water bottle, shake, and drink. They mix easily and won’t get clumpy. You can adjust the flavor or saltiness concentration by adding more or less water to your preference. Drink one at the beginning of your workout and/or rehydrate with it post-workout. We also love making it a priority in the morning before coffee to get the adrenal system firing. Enjoy and be salty... the good kind.
