Under the NFPA 1901-04 standard, spring clip style brackets are not allowed in the crew or driving compartment of a fire apparatus. The Load & Lock system is designed to accommodat e the new standard. It is composed of a backplate, two seats, a footplate and an LLS strap. The strap provides the required mechanical means of retaining the SCBA. The bracket components are all coated with a thermoplastic material to prevent rust and wear on your cylinders.
