Lobmeyr Drinking Set No. 1 Ludwig Lobmeyr adopted only a handful of products from his father’s Biedermeier range. According to family legend, everything else was thrown out with a carriage load of “junk” following a bout of company cleaning. In 1883, Ludwig donated the first of 18 volumes of highly artistic production drawings of Lobmeyr’s most important items to the Museum of Applied Arts with the aim of “supporting the glass industry”, as he himself put it.
