Lockdown Gansey Fingerless Gloves Pattern. Cosy fingerless gloves inspired by the traditional patterns of Gansey jumpers, which have always fascinated me, & I have adapted this pattern from my Gansey Headband, in the Covid Lockdown 2020. I wear mine all the time! The mitts are knitted in the round, bottom up, the thumb gusset mimics the gansey under-arm gussets, and the cable pattern wraps around the thumb. There are both charted and written instructions, and I give suggestions to adapt the size for smaller or larger fingerless gloves. A short version is also included. Approx weight of finished gloves knitted in DK is 80g. I have knitted them successfully in a variety of yarns. The paler blue are knitted in Natur-ally Yarns British Bluefaced Leicester DK. The short grey version are knitted in Frangipani Guernsey 5 ply (weighs 45g.) The pink are in a DK yarn, and the darker blue are in a 4ply yarn. Please be aware that this is a pdf download pattern not the actual garment. The pattern pdf will be available to you after purchase. There is no refunds available on this item.
