ALWAYS make sure that both ends of the log you are splitting are cut as squareas possible. This will prevent the log from sliding out of position while underpressure. Logs should be 24 inches or shorter in length. Keep hands and feet away from tines Fully raise the tines when not actively aerating to avoid damaging them Prep the area beforehand by either removing potential obstacles or cutting the grass to avoid running anything over
