These long silver earrings consist of five roughly rectangular pieces that glint and move freely. They are almost a little bit too long to be ordinary. Long Moon Snake silver earrings are made of recycled sterling silver with a rough brushed surface that has a beautiful matte shine. They have a unique handmade character, and a special charm stemming from imperfection. If you are a bold earring person, the Long Moon Snake silver earrings can be worn everyday. Despite their length, the earrings are lightweight and comfortable. If you prefer something a bit more moderate, you could like Short Moon Snake silver earrings. Long Moon Snake silver earrings are perfect for event wear. I would love to know someone received the Nobel prize or got married wearing them. The Long Moon Snake silver earrings are handmade and will take up to 14 days to produce. Small irregularity is in their nature. Collection Hiljaisuuden Meri/ Sea of Tranquility is a handmade collection of silver and stone. The pieces are both ancient and modern, rough and delicate, playful and elegant. Understated shine of brushed matte surfaces, softly rectangular shapes and molten ball-like joints connect collection. The collection is inspired by snakes, space and the sea. I named the collection after the Sea of Tranquility, one of the big Lunar Mares. In the 1600’s, when Moon’s geographical features were named, it was thought that the darker features of the Moon’s surface were water. They have been proven to be basalt plains. Snakes haven’t been found on the moon, yet. Silver and the Moon have been connected throughout time, probably because of the Moon’s silvery shine. In alchemy, the sign of silver is the crescent Moon. Silver also darkens as it oxidises, like the Moon darkens as it wanes.
