Looking for Luddites is a special edition of Left Cultures, written and illustrated by John Hewitt, and celebrates the stories of bravery, loyalty and foresight the luddites had in trying to protect their communities. Hewitt has located and drawn significant sites relating to the machine-breaking uprisings in fabric manufacturing communities in the early nineteenth century (mostly those in around Marsden, West Yorks) so that we can view them in their 21st century context.
