Meet Syd – a slightly wonky, endlessly charming rabbit who’s full of character and utterly lovable. Syd first came to life in the early 2000s, when Claire was creating quirky creat ures from old felted jumpers and upcycled fabrics. The very first Syd, a handmade rabbit, lived happily on the counter at our original Loop shop on Cross Street, becoming a beloved companion to both staff and customers. So many people asked how to make their own that, when Susan wrote her first crochet book, she invited Claire to recreate Syd using yarns from the shop. And just like that, Syd the crochet rabbit was born. Nearly two decades later, Syd is back—this time dressed in beautiful modern yarns from our Camden Passage shop. He may have a fresh new look, but he’s still the same slightly dishevelled, delightfully lopsided bunny we all adore.
