An early eating apple. A high quality dessert apple, medium sized and flushed deep red with broken striped fruit. Flesh is creamy white, firm, strong and juicy. Moderately sweet, d elightfully fragrant with a hint of strawberry. Ready to pick in September. Stores until November. Raised by Laxton Brothers Ltd. at Bedford in 1907 and introduced in 1923.
