This is an officially licensed Lord of the Rings Lothlorien Elven Clasp, just like the ones received by the fellowship in the woods of Lothlorien. This item was featured in all thr ee Lord of the Rings movies, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and in the Return of the King. This clasp has a simple pin backing, and as such probably isn't strong enough to hold closed a heavy fabric cloak. It works best to cover a smaller, stronger clasp, like a simple hook and eye closure. This clasp is costume grade, meaning that it is not sterling silver or another precious metal.
