Originally released with Issue 3 of the Lisa Comfort Magazine, due to popular demand the Lottie Dress is now available as a stand-alone PDF pattern! Lottie is a cool and light sund ress to see you through the summer months; easy to throw on and perfect to take on holiday. Knee length, sleeveless and fastened with a button placket all the way down the front, the Lottie Dress features pretty gathers at the neckline for shaping and an optional tie belt to cinch the waist in. Bias binding is used to finish the armholes and the neckline, creating the straps at the same time. Make the binding out of the main fabric or save some yourself some time by using pre-made bias binding in a coordinating or contrasting colour. Lottie works really well in beginner-friendly woven fabrics such as cotton poplin and cotton lawn both of which are easy to sew with.
