Shanxi, circa 1880 This beautiful old table is from Shanxi province in central China and still has its original dark finish over the elm wood, now with a rich, wonderful patina for med over years of use. The table is in a low, square design that would work well as a coffee table in a modern space. The waisted top with a moulded apron fits over legs that are supported with single stretchers and which taper down slightly to the horse hoof feet that are such a distinctive feature of Chinese antique tables. The worn, dark finish has a lovely character that would grace any interior. Show more
