We use a combination of 8MM high density foam and 3 MM of soft low density foam which give you 2 layers of protection from any bumps or drops. The adjustable shoulder strap with soft pad gives you additional transporting options while maintaining comfort. This bag is built tough and has thoughtful features and touches throughout. We use top of the line zippers that are road-tough. When you close the zippers there is a little flap that covers most of the the zipper track which helps keep water out but also it is oddly satisfying because it looks so clean when you close the zipper.
